First Playable
Overall, the game i'm creating is coming together nicely. The main aspects of the game are present such as the overall terrain, maze walls and gems (collectable). The finer detailing of the game such as the third person view with my character and the additional effects of the gems are set to be installed. I feel as though i'm making good progress and i'm happy with how my game is looking so far.
I'm finding the finer details a bit harder to work on such as the scripting as it is very case sensitive. this is just something I will have to get the hang of and work on as I go!
I admit I was behind schedule with my game construction but nothing I couldn't work on, I know what I am capable of and how I'll progress further.
I look forward to the final product of my game!

Hello Leah! Glad to hear that your game is going pretty well. I really like the screenshots - they show the progress. I know you are making a maze... so I wonder if the fancy terrain is actually needed? Or are you planning to do more of an outdoor maze, where the sky isn't blocked off, and you can still jump to see the rest of the scenery? If you can see the sky, you can maybe download some dark, horror-ish skybox to go with your maze?
ReplyDeleteI was also thinking, you could maybe style the maze like the one in the Maze Runner movie? Have a one central point, and then from there, have a maze circle or square.
Anyway, nice post and good luck with making your game!
Hey Leah!
ReplyDeleteYour game looks really nice so far. Your screenshots are cool too, I especially like the big mountain off in the distance. I'm also behind schedule with the construction of my game and finding the scripting difficult. I look forward to seeing how your final game turns out, good luck with the rest of it.
Hey Leah! Hope you are doing well. Looks like your game is really coming together which is great. It is good that you are already considering the small details that will affect the entire game such as third person view. i would recommend you test it on friends as that is what they are there for. This will result in feedback that matters to you. I look forward to seeing what your finished game will look like
ReplyDeleteHey Leah, how are you doing lately? Your game looks like its really coming together now, it is very impressive. Maze games are always great fun, although usually when I play them I end up getting angry. What will the character look like? Will there only be one playable character? I can see from your screenshots that your map is very well done. I hope it continues to go well for you. I would say good luck with the rest of your game, but I can tell that you dont really need it!
ReplyDeleteHey Leah! Your game look like its coming together nicely! I like the idea of a maze game. I think its a unique idea and there's not many like it on the market at the moment. I think you could do a lot with this idea. You could have a lot of fun making different mazes for different levels. You can really let your creativity take over with this one. I love how its looking already. Your definitely going in the right direction and it sounds like you've got the basics down. I find the scripting pretty tedious too, it's my least favourite part of all this. I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your game! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your development.
