Game Vision Statement

This blog post is about my vision statement for my game idea. the name my game will be ‘Escape Route’. A maze structured puzzle game designed to get the user to collect gems and make his/her way out of the maze as fast as possible. The game size will be small with a few different routes to take, various gems could increase the runners speed, add more time to the clock or unlock different routes in the maze. The main areas I’m going to focus on are Game Genre, Gameplay and Resources. Game Genre The genre of this game is a puzzle/adventure style game, with gems to collect and various possible outcomes I aim to create a simple yet addictive game. Other games similar to this would be Temple Run or Mario Bros or even simple maze games such as Labyrinth. final art illustrations

as a team myself and Leah O Byrne, split the four scenes the research time had written up and drew our own illustrations for those scenes. i took scenes 2 and 3 and Leah did scenes 1 and 4. i began work on my illustrations so that the other members of the group would be able to use them to create the intro sequence. scene 2: Foggy and his brothers play with their hurls pretending they're riffles preparing for battle. Scene 3: Foggy and his brothers are in the sitting room, drinking and playing cards talking about their father. Saying they must avenge his death.

Film is one of the most magical creations of all time in my opinion. Being transported to a new world, filled with new adventures and new people to meet along the way, it sounds a lot like a book, but it’s the visual aspect of storytelling that gives people that magical feeling. From the way in which a film is shot, location, ideas, hidden messages right down to soundtracks, it makes up a different kind of experience from a book, stimulating multiple senses and engaging the audience with the characters and story line.
